How to change default apps in macOS

Open Mac’s Finder by clicking the Finder icon in the Dock.

Find the file type you would like to open with a specific app, and select it.

Click or tap with two fingers to perform the equivalent of Control-click or right-click to open the File menu and select Get Info.

Expand the ‘Open with:’ menu by clicking on the triangle to the left.

Now you need to select the dropdown menu, then choose the app you would like to use to open all documents like that one.

Click the ‘Change All…’ button.

You will get a dialogue box asking you to confirm your choice. Click Continue.

Close the Get Info window.

Done!
